I am the Director and Principal Trainer of the MindRight Institute, a Byron Bay based training organisation. I am a qualified Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and provide these training courses across the Northern Rivers Region of New South Wales. I am passionate about young people and am a member of many groups and organisations that work with youth. I am on the Management Committee of Byron Youth Service and provide programs for young people at the Youth Activities Centre, in particular 'Friday Nights @ the YAC' a weekly drop-in safe socialising program for 12-17 year olds. I am the Team Leader of the BUDDI-CDAT (Byron Underage Drinking & Drug Initiative-Community Drug Action Team) auspiced by Byron Youth Service.
I am also the 2010 Byron Shire Citizen of the Year.
My ideals are basically Humanist. I spend a great deal of my time working towards making the world a better place. I am a proud volunteer, giving as much of my time as possible to causes that ignite my passion for humankind. I am a keen educator and student of those things that progress us forward. I believe everyone is special and deserves to be treated as such.
